Kommando Celebrate Award Success

Home | Blog | KOMMANDO CELEBRATE AWARDS SUCCESS

Kommando are celebrating after scooping another award last night, this time at the Scottish Event Awards. Awarded the top prize in the Best Use of Technology category for our Innovative Scotland campaign on behalf of the Scottish Government, we are delighted to add the accolade to our growing list of awards successes.

The winning campaign was designed to promote Scotland as a distinct, vibrant and technologically advanced nation at the Shanghai World Expo’s UK Pavilion and fulfill the Scottish Government’s main objective of attracting new tourists and business prospects to Scotland.

Following extensive research, it became apparent that a technologically led experiential marketing and social media campaign was the most effective way of connecting with the tech-savvy target audience, and for this reason exclusive Kommando designed and patented technologies NomadiX Screenwalkers and PixAngels Photo Marketing were integral to the success of the campaign.

The approach resulted in massive interest and positive feedback with First Minister Alex Salmond commenting that “Kommando’s innovative and creative use of the latest technology gave Expo visitors a fantastic flavour of Scotland‟s vibrant culture and heritage.”

Kommando Group Managing Director Mark Evans said “We are delighted with our win in the Best Use of Technology category at the Scottish Event Awards – this campaign is particularly memorable for us as it was not only a huge honour to represent our country at the World Expo, but also as it featured our very own technologies. We would also like to extend our congratulations to all other finalists and winners.”
