Kommando Best Bits of 2016
2016 has ended and we have now entered 2017. Last year was even better than the one before, and we’re all super excited to see what’s coming around the corner in 2017. Here’s is our highlights of what we got up to in 2016!
Experiential Awards
Beating some stiff competition to win The Drums Scottish Event Award for an Experiential Event for our use of Augmented Reality in the Leave it Outside Smoking campaign for the Scottish Government.
Koolbox
We believe that technology has a critical role to play in experiential marketing. Used intelligently, technology can be both the conduit and catalyst in live campaigns. At Kommando, we do our very best to embrace this principle whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Anyone who says technology is just for kids has never had the pleasure of seeing the iWalker at work, brightening up the Advertising landscape. Besides, in 2017 VR and AR is well on its way to being used in just about any industry you can think of — from news to fashion. You can find out more on our "Future of Retail: Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality Have Big Roles To Play" blog.
Campaigns
Throughout 2016, we have been lucky with a number of great clients, such as the Scottish Government on Take It Right Outside anti-smoking campaign. We combined an emotive augmented reality (AR) experience with photo marketing made “the invisible visible” and encouraged people to rethink their smoking habits and “Take It Right Outside” for the sake of their kids. We also worked on a Virtual Reality project for VELUX and a Guerrilla Marketing Campaign for the film launch of "I, Daniel Blake" to name a few.
Thanks to everyone for making 2016 a year to remember! If you want to get involved this year, let’s have a chat!
