Nike's Race Yourself Running Track

Home | Blog | live experience

Every runner wants to beat their personal best. So, who better to race against…than yourself? Nike recently unveiled “Nike Unlimited” Stadium installation in Manila, Philippines, where runners race against a digital version of themselves.

It works by placing a radio frequency identification sensor on your trainer and then running a lap on their custom built track. After the initial lap time records, a digital avatar appears on the large LED screens which are placed around the track.

The track was purposely designed to look like the sole of Nike's new LunarEpic running shoe and illuminates a multitude of colours while featuring the same circular drawings found at the bottom of the shoe.

If you would like to know how to use tech to boost your next experiential campaign, we would love to hear from you.
