Kommando smash another World Record, this time for INNOVO®

Home | Blog |

If you had an email bounce into your inbox asking you to produce a World Record event, with 2 weeks’ notice, you might think it’s an impossible task.

At Kommando, we have the pesky habit of breaking the industry norm and making anything a possibility.

That’s just what we did for Innovo: Restore the Floor. At record breaking speed, we started planning an event for the most people simultaneously bouncing on mini-trampolines.

We jumped into action and arranged for the beautiful Haggerston Park in Hackney, London to be our venue.

This was swiftly followed by 350 trampolines sourced from all over the country (they’re trickier to find than you might imagine, especially at short notice), 20 portable toilets, a stage, a sound system, marquee, registration, picnic benches, a hospitality area, a photographer, a videographer, an ice cream van, 22 incredible staff, security, health and safety precautions, branded collateral, photo marketing technology (PixAngels) to spread the word on social platforms, transport, participants (who we fondly started calling “the bouncers”) and everything else World Record worthy really.

Oh…and a drone for that all important aerial shot of the event in action. Speed Communications had even managed to organise for Olympian, Rebecca Adlington to lead the record attempt.

At 6am on 22nd June the trampolines had been lined up, the marquee for registration had been raised and the stage had been set. Cue the brilliant weather, and all we needed now was for more than 324 participants to complete registration and bounce simultaneously for 5 minutes.

By 11am….we were queued out the park,1 practise session and 343 people later Innovo / Kommando are all WORLD RECORD BREAKERS.

It was exhausting, exhilarating and the perfect example of why Kommando are your go to agency when it comes to the military precision execution for your campaigns.

For us, this wasn’t the first record breaking event that we’ve produced, (we really should check what the World Record is for the most World Records broken by an experiential agency) the first was for ScotRail’s ‘Roll With Us’ which saw over 250 people swap shoes for skates to create one long continuous conga line for a period of 15 minutes.
